'Entitled' hikers block man's driveway - so he executes 'perfect' revenge (2025)

A doctor exacted the "perfect" revenge on a group of backpackers who thoughtlessly parked three large vehicles on his private driveway. The basic rule of not parking on someone else's property without permission seems to have been lost on them, especially when it blocks the homeowner's access.

This was the frustrating situation faced by a doctor who lives in a semi-rural area of Montana. Upon returning home, he found his driveway, which is clearly marked as private with "no trespassing" signs, obstructed by three large cars.

The owners had carelessly left their vehicles there while they went on a hiking and camping trip, completely disregarding the disruption they caused. The doctor's expansive ranch-style estate is partially rented out to responsible individuals. To avoid any confusion, he had the property lines professionally evaluated and a fence installed.

Despite these clear boundaries, the backpackers saw fit to block his long, private driveway, preventing him from accessing his home by car. A doctor was driven to frustration when he found his driveway, leading to a public road three quarters of a mile away from his house, blocked by parked cars, reports Devon Live.

This inconvenience forced him to leave his car and walk the distance to reach his home as "drainage ditches on either side" made it impossible to drive around them.

He contemplated towing the vehicles but concerned about possible consequences, he sought advice from local police and requested their presence as a "witness". Once the local sheriff affirmed his right to address the issue, he patiently waited for the car owners to come back.

However, after three days with no sign of the owners, he felt compelled to act.

He shared on Reddit: "I drove out to the cars with some wooden cribbing, and a high-lift jack, and jacked the cars up, put cribbing down, and left the cars there, wheels up in the air.

"It took two more days before anyone showed up. Eight people showed up, angry because their cars had been essentially booted. They really didn't like it when I told them they owed me for parking, and damage done to the road, because they blocked it."

The motorists were left seething when the doctor insisted on payment for parking and damage to his driveway. Their claims they were unaware they were trespassing were dismissed – as the police had already been informed and sided with the doctor.

The drivers then took the doctor to court, but he counter-sued and emerged victorious. The judge ruled that the motorists must pay for resurfacing the road, storage fees, and punitive damages.

The doctor later revealed: "It took a year, but I got the payment from the third hiker last week. I decided that the money will go to help pay for my annual summer BBQ for the county's emergency responders".

Commenting on the story, one person wrote: "In the country, or the city or in the suburbs: what kind of idiot blocks a driveway??!"

Another user noted: "This was one of the most satisfying posts I've read on here in a long time!" A third added: "What a heart-warming revenge story!"
